THE Dragons Under-18s maintained their unbeaten start to the WRU Regional Age-Grade Championship when they beat RGC 36-22.

The prospects added to the scalps of Cardiff Blues, the Ospreys and Scarlets by powering away in the second half in Ystrad Mynach.

RGC went ahead with an early score but back came Dragons with Ewan Rosser, brother of Jared and fresh from his recent hat-trick against Ospreys, going over.

Wing Carrick McDonough put Dragons 10-5 up after 16 minutes and, after RGC had inched in front, a converted Joe Coope-Franklin score made it 17-12 at the interval.

Morgan Richard stretched the lead but the resilient north Walians reduced the gap to 24-22 with 51 minutes gone.

However, tries Brodie Coughlin and Dylan Davies wrapped up maximum points with the tournament resuming in January.
