CROSS Keys aim to remain a bogey team for Swansea when they welcome the Whites to Pandy Park tomorrow, writes Chris Kirwan.

The Gwent side have won eight games on the spin against the men from St Helens, a streak that goes back to a loss in October, 2011 when Tom Prydie and Eli Walker were the hosts’ wings.

Keys are under pressure to keep that run going courtesy of their Jekyll and Hyde form so far this season; they have beaten Bridgend and Neath at Pandy Park but suffered losses at Carmarthen Quins and Bargoed.

A late Jason Tovey penalty salvaged a consolation bonus point against the Bulls but there was frustration at the failure to convert chances and earn what would have been a precious away win in a highly-competitive season.

The return of relegation has raised the stakes this season and means Keys have put pressure on themselves to produce the goods at home.

"There is something on every game this season and even those times when you get a late bonus point could turn out to be important," said team manager Mark Prangell.

"Even this early in the season you can feel that and that was why Bargoed was frustrating.

"It would have been nice to pinch an away win but we didn't take our chances after having lots of possession and territory.

"Bargoed were always going to have a 10 or 15-minute period and that's exactly what happened.

"We are still looking for an 80-minute performance and have to cut down our mistakes - the stats don't lie, our error count was massive."

Teenage Dragons scrum-half Dan Babos, who made his Keys debut from the bench at Bargoed, is set to start while number eight Isaak Duffy is back from injury.

l Cross Keys' Former Players Association are meeting from midday.
