CROSS Keys aim to keep entertaining when they head to Cardiff after a dramatic start to the Premiership, writes Chris Kirwan.

The game has been in the balance in four of Keys' five fixtures with the Gwent side edging wins against Bridgend and Neath but having to settle for narrow losses to Bargoed and Swansea.

Against the Whites Morgan Stoddart's side had to settle for two consolation bonuses when it should have been a five-point haul.

They led 29-27 as the clocked ticked down only to press for a fifth try, a decision that led to a 95-metre breakaway by Swansea's Luke Griffiths.

The punters got value for money, but Keys rued not sticking the ball up the jumper.

"With two minutes to go we just played too much rugby," lamented team manager Mark Prangell.

"We're definitely entertaining at the moment but at that stage it was all about game management.

"It is frustrating but we will keep the faith and know that we are on the right track."

The Blue and Blacks are aiming for a Gwent hat-trick after taking the spoils against Newport and Bargoed in the capital.

Losses to a trio of title contenders, Merthyr, Llandovery and Carmarthen Quins, means that they sit two spots beneath Keys in 11th.

"Cardiff will be up there, we have got a lot of respect for Steve Law and it will be a tough game," said Prangell.

"We are going there to have a go and we have a side that is capable of causing them problems on that surface."

Dragons scrum-half Dan Babos will be joined in the side by academy prospects Garin Price and Joe Goodchild, a back rower and wing.

The teams met three times last season with Cardiff taking the spoils 46-19 at the Arms Park in September before Keys got revenge at Pandy Park, winning 35-27 in November then 42-10 in April.
