FORMER Springboks full-back Zane Kirchner comes straight back into the Dragons XV for their European Challenge Cup opener in Romania after his loan spell at Bristol.

The 34-year-old is one of six changes for tomorrow’s clash with Timisoara Saracens at Dan Paltinisanu Stadium with full-back Jordan Williams dropping to the bench, and also covering fly-half, after starting all six Guinness PRO14 games.

Kirchner, who also played centre and fly-half for the Dragons last season, made three appearances in the English Premiership for the Bears.

Head coach Bernard Jackman brings centre Tyler Morgan and scrum-half Tavis Knoyle into his back line after they came off the bench in last week’s derby loss to Cardiff Blues.

Adam Warren moves from midfield to the wing to replace Jared Rosser (concussion).

As he revealed in his Argus column, back row forward Lewis Evans makes a first start at lock and he is joined by Matthew Screech in the second row.

Openside Nic Cudd comes in for flanker Aaron Wainwright with Ollie Griffiths shifting to blindside.

Replacement prop Aaron Jarvis covers loosehead rather than tighthead while hooker Rhys Lawrence scrum-half Rhodri Davies, summer arrivals from Ealing and Rotherham respectively, will make their debuts from the bench.

Skipper Cory Hill is a substitute so his fellow Wales forward Elliot Dee captains the side.
