EBBW Vale captain Ronny Kynes has revealed that he is out for the rest of the season through injury.
The openside will go under the knife tomorrow morning after fracturing his foot and damaging ligaments during last Friday’s win over Carmarthen Quins.
The skipper was replaced by Paul King in the closing stages of the Steelmen’s 20-8 Principality Premiership victory at Eugene Cross Park.
In a post on Twitter, he said: “Great result for the boys against Carmarthen. I’m sure we can kick on now.
“Unfortunately, my season’s over, done the ligaments and fractured my foot. To say I’m devastated is an understatement.
“Op tomorrow morning thanks to the awesome Dr Rhys (Thomas). Will be back as soon as I can.”
