WALES centre Tyler Morgan is in contention for a comeback in the derby against the Ospreys on Sunday but the Dragons are braced to be without Ross Moriarty again.

Morgan, who won his fifth cap against Tonga in November, missed last week’s 19-16 loss to Cardiff Blues at the Arms Park after suffering a concussion in the European Challenge Cup clash at Clermont Auvergne.

The 23-year-old from Caerleon has returned to full training and is now an option for the encounter with the Ospreys in Newport.

That provides backs coach Barry Maddocks with a dilemma because the partnership of Jarryd Sage and Adam Warren impressed in the capital.

Moriarty also sat out the loss at the Blues after reporting concussion symptoms in the aftermath of the loss in Clermont.

“Ross is still struggling a little bit,” said caretaker coach Ceri Jones. “We will have to wait and see but with any head knock you absolutely cannot rush that, so he’s doubtful.”

Harri Keddie joined Wales internationals Aaron Wainwright and Cory Hill in the back row against the Blues with Nic Cudd and Lewis Evans on the bench.
