A DINNER to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Wales' famous Wembley win that denied England a Grand Slam will be held in Cwmbran to raise money for St David's Hospice Care.

Try-scoring hero Scott Gibbs will be joined at the event at the Parkway Hotel and Spa on Thursday, April 11 by teammates Neil Jenkins, Garin Jenkins and Colin Charvis.

Wales triumphed 32-31 against England thanks to Gibbs' famous last-gasp effort and Jenkins' nerveless conversion – seven points that earned victory and meant Clive Woodward's men failed to secure a Grand Slam or the title, which went to Scotland.

The former players will tell tales from the day when Wales upset the odds in the final Five Nations game thanks to the stunning climax in a game played in London while Principality Stadium was built.

The three-course dinner will start at 7.30pm and there will be a charity raffle and auction.

Tables are available for £600 plus VAT while a number of individual seats on shared tables are available for £60 plus VAT.

There are a limited number of platinum tables for £850 plus VAT that feature a selection of wine and a prime location for the main event.

Tickets are available at www.theeventsroom.co.uk or by calling 0845 108 5690 (office hours only).
