FLANKER Aaron Wainwright is back to press his claims for a start in the Six Nations opener in Paris when he locks horns with Clermont Auvergne’s heavyweights in his final Dragons game before duty.

The 21-year-old returns at openside for tomorrow’s European Challenge Cup clash at Rodney Parade (kick-off 8pm) as caretaker coach Ceri Jones makes 10 changes to the XV that enjoyed a 59-3 rout of Timisoara Saracens.

The Dragons are boosted by the returns of props Brok Harris and Lloyd Fairbrother, the former making his 100th appearance on his comeback from a knee injury and the latter back at tighthead after his three-week suspension for a red card at Cardiff Blues.

Wales hopeful Hallam Amos switches from outside centre to the left wing and is joined in the back three by Jared Rosser and full-back Zane Kirchner.

Jarryd Sage and Adam Warren return in midfield while Rhodri Williams is back at 9 to partner Jason Tovey, who needs five points to reach 1,000 in Dragons colours.

Harri Keddie is back at blindside and Ollie Griffiths, who made his comeback from a knee injury with a cameo off the bench against Timisoara, starts at number eight.

The five retained are Amos, Tovey, captain and hooker Richard Hibbard and locks Joe Davies and Matthew Screech.

The Dragons cannot qualify for the quarter-finals while Clermont are already assured of a home tie in the last eight.
