THREE Dragons have been named in Wales’ starting line-up for their World Rugby U20 Championship opener against Argentina.

Wing Rio Dyer, centre Aneurin Owen and flanker Lennon Greggains are in the XV for Tuesday’s clash in Rosario (kick-off 5pm) while the entire Rodney Parade contingent is set to feature with their five teammates on the bench.

Hooker Will Griffiths, loosehead Tom Devine, lock Ed Scragg, scrum-half Dafydd Buckland and wing Deon Smith are replacements along with Caldicot’s Nick English, a tighthead with Bristol.

Wales take on the hosts before facing champions France and Fiji, with head coach Gareth Williams knowing his side must get off to a fast start to boost their hopes of making the semi-finals.

"We have come to Argentina wanting to be as successful as possible, but are very aware that wins at international level do not just happen, especially against a quality team like Argentina in their opening match of a home World Cup," said Williams.

"The challenge for us is to be at our best from a tactical, technical, physical, and mental point of view to achieve those results.

"If we can harness those areas in our preparation, we’ll hopefully fall the right side of the scoreboard come the end of 80 minutes."
