West Mon see off Sea View

WEST Mon returned to league action with a convincing bonus point win over Sea View of Barry by 28 points to 14.

A perfect day for running rugby saw the home side play some scintillating rugby resulting in four tries being scored, all of which would be worthy contender for try of the season.

After the visitors had taken the lead, West Mon responded with a try by the outstanding No 8 Daniel Duke, who powered his way over from ten metres after backs and forwards had combined through several phases.

Duke was also involved in the next score which started on the home try line and resulted in fly half Craig Buffin scoring in the corner.

The second half saw a well-executed three quarter movement that resulted in a score for the impressive Matthew King who is revelling is his new position of fullback.

The fourth try was an amazing individual effort by scrum half Lewis Edwards who ran some 70 metres beating several opponents in the process.

All tries were converted by Buffin.

The final score went to the visitors who made a significant contribution to a very enjoyable game.
