Cwmffrwdoer Sports club senior sides were both in action on the weekend, the 1sts returned from a very tricky fixture at Marshfield (Newport) with an excellent 6-3 victory in the County Motors Cup, goals from Matthew Jackson 2, Kristian Howells 2, Robbie Peake and Jamie Hoskin, ensured their place in the third round where they have another difficult tie at Blackrock Rovers (Chepstow) who are unbeaten this season in Gwent County Division Two.

The Doer 2nd eleven played out a remarkable game when hosting near neighbours and table toppers Tranch AFC in a Gwent Central Division one fixture drawing 5-5, goal scorers for the Doer were Lloyd Davies 2, Scott Horseman, Matthew Timbrell, and Scott Crowley.

This weekend the 1sts travel to Cefn Fforest for a Gwent County 2nd Division League fixture,whilst the 2nds entertain the Tranch again, this time in the Langdon Cup.
