CROSS Keys will play their first Swalec Cup tie in three years when they welcome Bedwas to Pandy Park for a Gwent derby in the quarter-finals.

Keys, runners-up to Pontypridd last year, last had home advantage in March 2012 when they beat Cardiff on their way to lifting the cup.

They earned their quarter-final spot by winning away at Llanelli and RGC 1404 while Bedwas are eyeing the Millennium Stadium after comprehensive home successes against Pontypool and Cardiff Met.

Newport, who have beaten Aberavon and Tata Steel, have been handed a tricky tie away to Carmarthen Quins.

Sven Cronk's men were thrashed 44-10 out west in September but beat the playoff-chasing Quins 25-21 at Rodney Parade last month.

The Black and Ambers are in the quarter-finals for the first time since losing 39-34 to Swansea at St Helen's in 2011 when the Whites won thanks to a controversial injury-time score by ex-Newport back James Dixon.

The other last-eight encounters pit holders Pontypridd, victors at Ebbw Vale last weekend, against Llandovery at Sardis Road while Merthyr, the last Swalec Championship side standing, travel to Bridgend.

Swalec Bowl quarter-finals: Ystradgynlais v Caerleon, Ysysyddu v Cwmavon, Cambrian Welfare v Ynysowen, Oakdale v Nantyffyllon
