ALL roads lead to Eugene Cross Park this weekend for the most eagerly-anticipated Gwent club match for more than a decade as Ebbw Vale and Cross Keys clash for a place in the Principality Premiership Grand Final on May 17.

Both sides are potentially just 80 minutes away from an opportunity of taking Pontypridd's league crown as the Sardis Road side aim for their third successive title.

Forget the General Election battle, the outcome of this weekend's derby couldn't be more finely balanced against two fine sides battling for their first ever Premiership title in Saturday night's big showdown (kick-off 7pm).

The Steelmen and Keys have already locked horns three times this campaign with Vale needing a win to 'square the series'.

In their British & Irish Cup play-off qualifier way back on a sun-baked August day at Pandy Park at the start of the season, Keys squeezed home with a 16-13 victory.

The Steelmen gained sweet revenge in the league away from home when they marched home to a convincing 32-20 triumph.

But back in February, in front of the S4C cameras at Eugene Cross Park, Keys turned the tables on their neighbours with a 10-0 success, despite the hosts dominating the first half.

Whatever the outcome, both sides can look back on a proud season, especially Vale who finished second in the table after being promoted from the Swalec Championship last year.

The Keys team shows a total of eight changes from the side who beat Bridgend, now Swalec Cup champions after they shocked Pontypridd at the Millennium Stadium last week, at the end of last month.

In an unusual shift, the visitors play their Scarlets-bound star man Jack Condy at blindside instead of No 8 with former Cardiff Blues man Adam Powell taking that position.

Luke Garrett, who made his Newport Gwent Dragons debut in the defeat to the Scarlets at the Millennium Stadium a fortnight ago, starts at loosehead prop.

Another player thought to be a Scarlets target starts for Keys, their outstanding openside flanker Scott Matthews.

Cross Keys: Elliott Jones, Lloyd Lewis, Leon Andrews (capt), Phil Williams, Nathan Trowbridge, Ethan Davies, Ryan James, Luke Garrett, Darren Hughes, Anthony Lott, Danny Hodge, Simon Williams, Jack Condy, Scott Matthews, Adam Powell.
