NEWPORT'S Swalec Cup tie with Carmarthen Quins has become the second Rodney Parade game in two days to be postponed.
The writing was on the wall for the Black and Ambers' fixture when heavy afternoon rain meant the surface was unplayable for Newport County's FA Cup clash with Blackburn on Saturday.
Newport called off the fixture this morning and will now attempt to find a slot in the hectic Rodney Parade schedule to play the game. They are currently scheduled to play a Foster's Challenge Cup clash with Ebbw Vale on Saturday.
The Dragons host Castres on Friday while the Exiles, who are waiting on a replay date for Rovers, are away at York.
The Black and Ambers have not played since thumping Neath on December 5, suffering previous three postponements against Cross Keys (home and away in the Challenge Cup, away in the Premiership) and another against Pontypridd at Sardis Road.
