Welsh Cup
Newcastle Emlyn 1 Chepstow Town 2 (1-1 after extra time)
JASON Thorn booked Town’s place in the next round with an extra-time winner at Newcastle Emlyn.
Neither team created a great deal in the opening 12 minutes but then a fine move involving Craig Ford and Mark Dunn, gave Thorn the chance to put Town ahead, curling the ball into the far corner of the net.
Seven minutes later, Dunn was sent off for an off-the-ball clash and the home side equalised after Town’s defence was caught napping.
After the break, Town continued to make - and miss - chances while their keeper Gareth Wesson was a spectator for most of the time
In extra time, Thorn sealed victory for Chepstow, cutting in from the left before again curling his shot into the far corner.
This Saturday, Chepstow are home to Undy kick off 2.30pm.
