NEWPORT Gwent Dragons won't care too much about style on Sunday as long as the clash with Treviso at Rodney Parade yields four morale-boosting Guinness Pro12 points.

The Dragons are yet to enjoy success this season after being edged out by Connacht and the Ospreys before last weekend's 33-13 hammering by Glasgow.

Treviso, who suffered a mass exodus over the summer, are also struggling and are pointless after losses to the Ospreys, Munster and the Scarlets.

The Dragons have been hard hit by injury but hooker Elliot Dee believes a success will spark their campaign into life.

"It's a must-win game for us. We've got to get some sort of reward for the hard work that we are putting in," said the 20-year-old.

"The three teams that we have lost to haven't lost but that's no excuse, we should be trying to push at the top end of the table.

"We are disappointed but know it's going to come soon; things are going to click but we have just got to keep working hard. We've got to put in a good performance.

"Treviso are usually physical up front and have a bit of spark behind but if we can keep pressure on them and grind them down then we can come away with a good victory.

"It's been three games and three losses, you can't fault the effort being put in but we need a win to bring the group up and boost morale in the camp."

Dee has enjoyed a fine start to the campaign and his battle with former Wales international Rhys Thomas for the number 2 jersey promises to be a feature of the season.

The youngster got the nod against Connacht and the Ospreys before coming off the bench against Glasgow only for the inexperienced team to fall apart in the final quarter as injuries took their toll.

"Things didn't go right for us," said the hooker. "We went into the game with a lot of new faces and it's always frustrating when you are chasing the game.

"It was tough because injuries hit us, (hooker/prop) Hugh Gustafson had to come on in the second row and then things fell apart in the last 20 minutes."
