ARSENAL midfielder Aaron Ramsey faces a race against time to be fit for Wales’ Euro 2016 qualifiers against Bosnia-Herzegovina and Cyprus.

Ramsey was forced off with a hamstring injury during the Gunners’ 1-1 draw with Tottenham on Saturday night.

The 23-year-old has been ruled out of Wednesday's Champions League clash with Galatasaray and next weekend's Premier League encounter against Chelsea.

“I don't know how long they'll be out but they will be out until next week," said Arsene Wenger of Ramsey and fellow injury victims Jack Wilshere and Mikel Arteta.

"Wilshere, I don't know. The two others are out for Chelsea for sure,” he added.

Next Sunday’s Chelsea v Arsenal match is just five days before Wales host Bosnia on October 10, with the Cyprus home qualifier just three days after that.

Former Wales striker Nathan Blake told BBC Radio Wales that Ramsey's absence would be a "massive blow" for national manager Chris Coleman.

"You've just got to keep your fingers crossed that it's not as bad as first thought and maybe he can recover in a week to 10 days," added Blake.
