SHAUN Edwards has criticised the fans that heckled Wales fly-half Rhys Priestland – declaring “you boo one of us, you boo all of us”.

The Scarlets number 10 was jeered by a minority of fans when he replaced Dan Biggar in last weekend’s 33-28 loss to Australia.

And defence coach Edwards has called on the rest of the Millennium Stadium crowd to drown out the boo boys.

“With Rhys, I think it’s important to remember that most of the crowd is behind him,” said Edwards. “But you boo one of us and you boo all of us.

“If you boo Rhys Priestland, you boo myself, you boo Warren Gatland, you boo Leigh Halfpenny, you boo the Welsh jersey.

“Personally I don’t think that’s on. Over the last number of years, we’ve performed admirably as a Welsh nation and we’ve tried to wear that Welsh shirt with a lot of pride.

“For someone to boo that shirt, to be honest I’m not very happy about it.

“If anyone in the crowd is silly enough to do it again, I would like to think the rest of the crowd will let them know what they think about them as well.”

Wales hooker Richard Hibbard is set to feature for Gloucester tomorrow after being named on the Cherry and Whites’ bench for their Aviva Premiership game against Harlequins.

Gatland has plumped for Scott Baldwin and Emyr Phillips as his options for the Fiji game and released their Lions hooker, who started against Australia, back to his club despite being under no obligation to do so.

They will hope Hibbard comes through unscathed as he is likely to start against New Zealand a week on Saturday, although he is unavailable for the finale against South Africa as it is outside the IRB’s Test window.
