NEWPORT RFC will hold their sixth hall of fame dinner at Rodney Parade on Friday, March 3.

The popular event is organised by the Friends of Newport Rugby Trust and last year attracted nearly 300 guests to the Bisley Suite to see the latest batch of Black and Amber greats inducted.

Canadian prop Rod Snow was honoured in 2016 along with Wales and Lions centre Dai Burcher, wing forward, chairman and president RT Evans, full-back and administrator Bill Everson, back Keith Jarrett, hooker Ian Jones, physios Gerry and Ray Lewis, forward Horace Lyne, full-back Norman Morgan and back rower Sam Waldron.

The shortlist for the icons who will join the likes of Dai Watkins, Brian Price and Arthur 'Monkey' Gould is currently being drawn up.

Tickets for the event, which starts at 6.30pm and includes a three-course dinner, cost £30 or tables for 10 are available for £300. Contact Kev Jarvis at kevin.jarvis@ntlworld.com for more information or book online via a link on blackandambers.co.uk
