SEVEN Dragons have been selected to feature in Wales Under-20s’ Six Nations finale against France on Friday (kick-off 8.15pm).

Wing Joe Goodchild, lock Max Williams and number eight Taine Basham start in Colwyn Bay while hooker Will Griffiths, loosehead Josh Reynolds, back row forward Lennon Greggains and wing Rio Dyer are among the replacements.

Jason Strange’s side are attempting to finish with a flourish after the disappointment of last week’s shock loss to Italy at Parc Eirias.

France head to north Wales hunting the title despite losing to England last weekend, a result that leaves the pair locked on 15 points.

If Les Bleuets win with a bonus then their points difference should secure the trophy but if they lose then the winner of England versus Ireland will sneak top spot.

“We’re under no illusions about the challenge France will bring on Friday night,” said head coach Strange.

“They’re one of the most complete teams in the competition, with no real weaknesses. We would have liked to be going into this match on the back of a win against Italy because it would have come down to a Championship decider, but not doing so will give us even more motivation.

“After our last game we had a very honest and frank review. The Italy game was frustrating, mainly around the fact that we didn’t get our game going at all. However, this is a very talented team, and I’m sure we’ll see a positive response on Friday.”

The Under-20s’ game follows the fixture between Wales and France in the Women’s Six Nations (kick-off 6pm).
