FORMER Dragons number eight Ed Jackson is hosting a fundraiser in Bath for the hospitals that helped him recover from a broken neck.
The 29-year-old will tell tales from his remarkable recovery from the swimming pool accident last year that left him unable to move from the waist down.
Jackson, who played 36 times for the Dragons after signing from London Welsh in 2015, was told that he may never walk again after diving into the shallow end of a pool.
However, thanks to intensive rehabilitation he climbed Snowdon in April less than a year after his incident.
Jackson will host an afternoon tea at The Bath Priory on Monday to raise funds for the Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases and Therapies Centre, The Forever Friends Appeal and Royal United Hospitals Bath.
Tickets cost £30 from The Bath Priory events team on 01225 331922 or events@thebathpriory.co.uk.
