NEWPORT County AFC caretaker boss Jimmy Dack is aiming to bring in a defender on loan before tomorrow's trip to Wycombe Wanderers.
Captain Andy Sandell, who has lined up at left-back, left wing-back and centre-back this season, is suspended for the next two games after picking up his tenth yellow card of the season in Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Tranmere Rovers at Rodney Parade.
And Robbie Willmott, who has also played at left wing-back this season, suffered a knock in his return to action on Tuesday following four months on the sidelines.
With Willmott doubtful for tomorrow's match, Sandell suspended and fellow left-sided defender Andrew Hughes out for the season with a cruciate knee ligament injury the Exiles hope to add another defender today.
Midfielder Lee Minshull has been ruled out of the game at Adams Park with concussion after taking a blow to the head against Tranmere.
Striker Chris Zebroski, who did not feature in midweek due to illness, is back in training and fit to play if selected, said Dack.
