NEWPORT County AFC defender Regan Poole started his third match in a week for Wales in the UEFA Under-17 Championship Elite Round in Russia.
After a 0-0 draw against the hosts in Krasnodar last Saturday and a 3-2 defeat to Austria on Thursday, the young Dragons ended the week with a 1-0 win over Iceland this afternoon.
And 16-year-old Poole played in all three games as he continues to impress the national age-grade selectors.
Wales won today’s clash thanks to a first half goal from Tyler Roberts but they narrowly missed out on qualification for the next stage, finishing third in the group behind the Austrians and the Russians.
