NEWPORT County AFC have announced that Queensberry Real Estate (QRE) will become one of the club's official community partners in a new sponsorship deal for the 2015/16 season.

A statement from the club reads: "Newport County AFC are happy to announce that Queensberry Real Estate (QRE) will become one of the clubs Official Community Partners in a new sponsorship deal for the 2015/16 Sky Bet Football League season.

"Queensberry Real Estate is a property development company specialising city centre retail led regeneration projects and mixed used schemes.

"QRE has delivered award winning developments across the UK and mainland Europe and is currently building a UK asset portfolio and shopping centre led development pipeline.

"Queensberry Real Estate is developing Friars Walk, a 390,000 sq ft retail and leisure destination in the heart of Newport city centre which will open on 12th November this year. As part of the deal, Newport County AFC will be involved in the official opening events planned for the city."

Paul Sargent, chief executive and co-founder of Queensberry Real Estate, said: "We are delighted to announce our partnership with Newport County AFC.

"Our involvement will support an education programme in 53 primary schools to help with football development, coaching and educational studies to promote health and well being.

"This is vitally important and we are happy to work with Newport County to help deliver this community programme."

"We are always looking at ways we can work with local businesses in the community.

"As a club we want to be involved as much as we can with the development of Friars Walk, and this deal will give us a real opportunity to build a great relationship.”

The sponsorship deal was sourced and secured on behalf of Newport County AFC by sports marketing and sponsorship agency, Eleven:20.
