NEWPORT County AFC manager Graham Westley believes his side could have won at Plymouth Argyle - despite playing 70 minutes with just 10 men.

County earned a 0-0 draw and an FA Cup second round replay after Sean Rigg was shown a straight red card after just 22 minutes.

Westley was pleased by the way his team performed.

"It is not an easy place to come, they have been going well and winning games," said the Exiles boss.

"We knew it was going to be a tough ask to come here and win the game and the tie.

"To go down to 10 men in the first half did not make it easy.

"We had to box clever, develop our game plan, we had to change the way we were playing.

"I thought the second half display was outstanding. We had good chances to win it, could easily have won it and as the half went on we got stronger."
