NEWPORT County AFC have announced that fans will have to attend the FA Cup replay with Plymouth Argyle to guarantee they get a ticket for the potential third-round clash against Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, January 8.

The County v Plymouth second-round replay will be played on Wednesday, December 21 (kick-off 7.45pm) at Rodney Parade

A club message to supporters reads: "In the event we progress to the next round, tickets purchased for this game will need to be retained to ensure a ticket for the Liverpool game is guaranteed.

"The intention is for the retained tickets to act as a voucher for the Liverpool game.

"Being a season ticket holder, Trust shareholder and/or a Trust member will also guarantee you the option of purchasing a ticket.

"Now is the time to get behind your club and give your support to them. The more people supporting the better our chances are of getting to Anfield."

The County ticket office is open from Monday to Friday between 10am and 3pm and tickets can also be purchased online at newportcountytickets.co.uk

If the Exiles do beat Plymouth the match at Anfield will be played on Sunday, January 8 (kick-off 1.30pm) and will again be live on BT Sport.
