NEWPORT County AFC goalkeeper-coach James Bittner has signed a new one-year deal.
Bittner joined the club in the summer of 2016 and made two appearances as Joe Day's deputy, as well as coaching the County number one and acting as joint caretaker manager with Sean McCarthy following Warren Feeney's sacking in September.
Exiles manager Michael Flynn said: “I’m very pleased James is staying with us.
"He has a close relationship with Joe and we see them as a good partnership.
"James fits in well with myself, Wayne and Lennie and is another good pair of eyes on the touchline.”
Bittner said: “After an unbelievable finish to last season, when I think we showed to everyone what we are capable of, I am delighted to have re-signed for the club for what I hope will be an exciting season."
