NEWPORT County AFC manager Michael Flynn was desperately disappointed to leave Carlisle United empty-handed after a thriller at Brunton Park.
Flynn felt his side were "outstanding" after recovering from going 2-0 down inside 12 minutes through two Jamie Devitt goals.
Padraig Amond pulled a goal back before the break and Dan Butler levelled four minutes from the end but Danny Grainger won it for the hosts in the third minute of stoppage time.
"I am gutted to lose that game," said Flynn. "Apart from the opening 15 minutes I thought the boys were absolutely outstanding
"They played some of the best football this club will ever see.
"They were switching play, through balls, we ripped them apart at times.
"But you can't start games the way we did and we paid the price.
The Exiles boss added: "We could have had four penalties today and definitely should have had at least two stonewell penalties. You expect one of them!"
