NEWPORT Gwent Dragons have snapped up Wales sevens speedster Luke Morgan on a one-year deal.
The 22-year-old wing/full-back from Bridgend, who was released by the Ospreys at the end of last season, impressed for the region at the Premiership Rugby 7s finals day at the Twickenham Stoop in August.
The following weekend he put in another strong display for Cardiff Blues across the road at the headquarters of English rugby in the World Club 7s.
His efforts have earned him another shot at regional rugby after penning a deal with the Dragons.
"Luke impressed when given an opportunity in pre-season with his work rate, speed and skill set and we look forward to him coming back to us," said director of rugby Lyn Jones.
"He will play for Newport in the Premiership and if he does well then we will give him a shot, because players deserve a second chance (at regional rugby)."
Morgan represented Wales at July's Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and is in the squad for next weekend's Gold Coast leg of the HSBC World Series.
The Dragons boast two other current international sevens players in their ranks in wing Matthew Pewtner and full-back Geraint Rhys Jones while Newport back row forward Sam Cross has been training with the region.
