NEWPORT Gwent Dragons director of rugby Lyn Jones has warned his charges that Bucharest will be out for instant revenge when they travel to Rodney Parade this evening.

The pair lock horns six days after the Dragons enjoyed a terrific 37-10 win at a perishing Ghencea Stadium in the Romanian capital.

Tonight's hosts should record another bonus-point win in Newport to put themselves within touching distance of the European Rugby Challenge Cup quarter-finals.

However, the Dragons have won both games in European double-header just twice in 11 efforts (Bucharest in 2006 and Mogliano in 2012) and there are numerous examples of sides impressing one week and spluttering the next.

"These back-to-back matches in European rugby are very testing," said Jones. "We were successful against Bucharest in difficult circumstances last weekend and the challenge for us is to back it up with a similar standard performance.

"If we can do that it shows we are on the right road but you only have to look at Leinster last year (in the Heineken Cup), they put 40 points on Northampton at Franklin's Gardens and then seven days later lost at home.

"The motivation is always with the team that lost to go out and put things right. What we have to do is be mature, business-like and focused."

The Dragons make three changes to their starting XV with wing Hallam Amos, scrum-half Jonathan Evans and loosehead Phil Price getting the nod. Tom Prydie moves back to full-back and Brok Harris goes from loosehead to tighthead.

Lock Rynard Landman returns on the bench after sitting out the Bucharest game because of concussion while Taulupe Faletau is also among the replacements following his autumn exertions with Wales.

"Toby had a big workload in the autumn, playing all four games," said Jones. "We need to measure his time to make sure he is fresh for Christmas but also the Six Nations when it comes around again."

Jones said that centre Pat Leach's recovery from the knee injury he suffered against Northampton in pre-season has "plateaued".
