The loosehead prop will make his first appearance of the season from the bench after a summer knee operation.

Scrum-half Dan Babos and loosehead Josh Reynolds make their debuts from the off while scrum-half Callum Morris, a Wales Under-18s international from the north west of England, and centre Connor Edwards are set to feature for the first time as replacements.

Fly-half Angus O’Brien slots in at full-back while Ollie Griffiths makes a rapid return from October jaw surgery to skipper the team from openside.
