ADAM Warren is happy to go on the move to allow Tyler Morgan to make his comeback in midfield but the versatile back wants to put in a performance tonight to make the Wales centre sweat on his place, writes Chris Kirwan.

Morgan will start for the first time since October against Glasgow in the Guinness PRO14 fixture at Rodney Parade (kick-off 7.35pm).

His return means that Warren has to make do with a place on the right wing despite forming a strong partnership with Jack Dixon in the excellent win against Bordeaux-Begles last month.

The 26-year-old has been happy to play anywhere since heading east from the Scarlets in 2015 but wants to thrive out wide to put himself in the mix for his preferred midfield.

"We need to keep creating tough competition for one another," said Warren. "I though both Connor Edwards and Jarryd Sage were brilliant (against Worcester last week) and then Tyler came on and played really well.

"The game before that me and Jack played and we had a good win against Bordeaux, so it does make the coaches' decision a lot tougher.

"If everyone is playing well and fighting for it then it becomes more competitive on the training field and then we all keep improving. That's the route that we need to go down."

The return of four-times capped Morgan does, however, give the Dragons attack a different dimension.

"Tyler is a great athlete and does offer a lot to our team," said Warren.

"He is a big guy who has got good pace, uses his feet well and when he does get out of the tackles he can do some incredible things, just like Hallam Amos.

"Sometimes with players like that you give them the ball and they do something from nothing, it's then up to the rest of us then to show what we do well and put them into space."

The Dragons aim to become only the second side to beat Glasgow in the PRO14 this season and Warren believes a victory would set the tone for a run of home games that sees them host Benetton Treviso and Edinburgh in the coming weeks.

"Glasgow have a lot of internationals away but like Leinster they plan for it and are still strong," said the winger.

"This is the sort of team that we need to turn over – if we can do that against Glasgow it will set the tone going into Treviso and Edinburgh.

"We need to turn over one of the top teams, then we can build."
