USK Valley Trampoline Club entered some promising youngsters into the Welsh Schools Trampolining Championships.

Under 14's Paige Mutlow and Lois Gould represented their school, West Monmouth, at the event held on Sunday, November 23 at Pontypool Active Living Centre.

Both girls achieved a silver medal in separate ability categories, which was a brilliant result in large classes against schoolchildren from all over Wales competed in the various age and ability groups.

This competition also acts as a qualifier for the British Semi Finals(Zonals) which will be held in January, where Lois, as one of the top three, will again represent her school.

There were many other excellent placings with notable performances particularly in the under 14s where the club also gained a reserve, with Rebecca Skinner of Duffryn High School and a 5th with Leah Hussey of Caldicot School ,whilst Olivia Holloway was fourth in the under 11 beginners and Maezy Walmsley fifth in the intermediates for Abersychan School.
