WALES' Jonathan Davies is preparing to go from playing alongside the man who "has it all" to lining up opposite him.

The Clermont Auvergne centre will go head-to-head with teammate Wesley Fofana at the Stade de France on Saturday evening.

Les Bleus have plenty of heavy runners that they will fling at Wales, including hefty centre Mathieu Bastareaud, but fleet-footed Fofana combines power with guile.

"Fofana and Bastareud are both amazing players, I'm fortunate to play with Wes and I can't say enough about him, he has it all," said Davies.

"I always held him in high regard but to be able to work with him, cements all your thoughts about him.

"It's been good playing with him and I look forward to playing against him this week and enjoy a win hopefully.

"Bastareud is extremely physical and doesn't get the credit he deserves for all of his other skills.

"He's got some lovely touches and he's like a rock in defence and at the contact area."

Davies has also been charged with giving the inside track on France fly-half Camille Lopez, another man who plies his trade at Stade Marcel-Michelin in the Top 14.

"Camille came in this year with me and he's taken to the Clermont setup like a duck to water," said Davies.

"He's a talented player and his goal-kicking is pretty hot as well. I've been quizzed about him, he's a great player and it should be a tasty encounter."

Wales need to back up their win against Scotland in Edinburgh if they are to keep alive their Six Nations title hopes.

They are buoyed by an excellent recent record against France – they have won the last three encounters and have not conceded a try to Les Bleus since March, 2011 – but Davies knows they will tested to the limit.

"It will be a tough game, going to Paris is always an extremely hard place to go," he said.

"We've had a decent run these last few years but know it's going to be a tough ask to keep that run going.

"They are extremely passionate and have some great players, who will be disappointed with their result against Ireland."
