EBBW Vale’s remarkable return to the Principality Premiership saw Jason Strange named as coach of the year while Cross Keys flanker Scott Matthews won the player of the year honour.

The Steelmen enjoyed a remarkable return to the top flight that saw them finish as runners-up to Pontypridd while Newport Gwent Dragons flanker Matthews led the charge for Keys, who finished third and lost to Ponty in the semi-finals of the Swalec Cup.

Ebbw stalwart Ron Taylor was an emotional winner of the clubman of the year while Bedwas fly-half Richard Powell received the award for being top points scorer, Bridgend wing Tom O’Flaherty was top try scorer, Llanelli’s Kyle Evans won try of the season, Pontypridd’s Wales Under-20s international Tomos Williams won best newcomer, Craig Evans was named as referee of the year and Pontypridd won the fair play award.
