PONTYPOOL will attempt to upset Llanelli when they travel to Parc y Scarlets in round one of the WRU National Cup.

Pooler, who will be in the Championship until at least 2020 after missing out on promotion to the ring-fenced and revamped Principality Premiership, will travel west on the weekend of January 28.

Premiership champions Ebbw Vale will welcome Skewen to Eugene Cross Park while Newport host Swansea at Rodney Parade, arguably sharing tie of the round honour with Aberavon against Llandovery.

Cross Keys and Newbridge are on their travels to Glynneath and Merthyr respectively while Bedwas host Glamorgan Wanderers and Bargoed head to Bedlinog.

The Drovers are defending their trophy after edging out Carmarthen Quins at Principality Stadium last season.
