WALES could go up against rugby league convert Marika Koroibete in the autumn opener versus Australia in Cardiff a week on Saturday.

The Wallabies have named the 24-year-old in their 32-squad for a tour that also pits them against Scotland, France, Ireland and England.

The Fijian star has spent the last five years in Australia’s National Rugby League and will attempt to become the first player to represent the Wallabies before playing a Super Rugby match since hooker Tatafu Polota-Nau in 2005.

The Wallabies, who also select uncapped hooker Tolu Latu and outside back Kyle Godwin, are without Samu Kerevi after he suffered an ankle injury in their 37-10 loss to New Zealand on Saturday.

Scrum half Will Genia has been named in the squad, but won't be eligible to play outside the November Test window, ruling him out of the tour opener against Wales and the final Test against England.

Dean Mumm will be ineligible for the Wallabies' opener, suspended for striking Brodie Retallick in last weekend's Bledisloe Test.
