WALES captain Ashley Williams says the players must reward the fans for their backing with a win against Bosnia-Herzegovina tomorrow night.

Despite a lengthening injury list, expectations are high that Williams and his teammates can take a big step towards qualifying for Euro 2016 with wins over Bosnia and Cyprus on Monday.

That is reflected in the fact that a crowd of more than 25,000 will be roaring on Chris Coleman’s men at the Cardiff City Stadium tomorrow.

Williams says the players must use that support and pay back the fans for their faith by putting more points on the board following last month’s win in Andorra.

“This is what us as players have been asking for a long time,” said the skipper.

“The fans have delivered so we know that it is down to us to go out and put in a good performance and go for a win.

“I’ve never played for Wales in a full house before so I’m really looking forward to walking out of the tunnel tomorrow and seeing all of our fans in there,” he added.

“It’s never great to walk out at a home game and see more away fans or a lot of empty seats which we’ve had a few times.

“We’ve worked hard with the FAW to try to get more fans in and see how we go about that and as players that is all we want because in fairness the ones who come do always make a lot of noise.”

Williams says a win over the Bosnians, who are favourites for second spot in the group behind Belgium, is vital.

“A lot of people are saying that we need to better what Bosnia do in the group,” said the Swansea City defender.

“Obviously we won our first game whereas they lost theirs. This is a game that we feel if we are going to do anything we need to win really.

“When you’re in a situation like this where you have to deliver there are no excuses. The fans have done their part in going and buying their tickets and now we have to deliver.”
