NEWPORT County AFC loan star Tommy O’Sullivan and Newport-born duo Lee Evans and Ellis Harrison are all set to feature for the Wales in their UEFA Under-21 qualifier against Romania tomorrow.

All three started in Friday’s 2-1 win over Armenia in Bangor, with Bristol Rovers striker Harrison scoring from the spot to put the hosts 1-0 up after just nine minutes.

O’Sullivan, on loan at Rodney Parade from near neighbours Cardiff City, and former County star Evans were paired together in midfield.

Armenia responded with an equaliser after 59 minutes as Gor Malakyan headed in but Geraint Williams’ side were not to be denied victory.

Wales were growing increasingly frustrated as the final whistle approached but, with the match in injury-time, Harry Wilson latched onto a through ball to find himself in space and one-on-one with Armenia goalkeeper Anatoli Aivazov.

A composed finish lifted the ball over the keeper to claim a deserved victory when it appeared that the side may have to settle for a share of the points.

The win means unbeaten Wales go top of Group 5 ahead of tomorrow’s clash with Romania at Wrexham’s Racecourse ground (kick-off 6pm).

Wales under-21 manager Williams told BBC Radio Wales: "Fair play to them, they've kept going until the end and we've dug ourselves out of a little hole.

"They were two very different halves of football. I was very delighted with the first and very disappointed with the second.

"We were so on top in the first half and we didn't look anywhere near as comfortable in the second half."

O’Sullivan missed County’s 2-2 draw at Accrington Stanley on Saturday due to his international commitments and will also be unavailable for tomorrow night’s FA Cup replay against Brackley Town (kick-off 7.45pm).
