THE Football Association of Wales has confirmed that Wales will play two friendly international matches against Northern Ireland and Ukraine in March.

The games will form part of Chris Coleman’s preparations for Euro 2016 in France.

The tournament begins in June, when Wales will meet Slovakia, England and Russia in Group B.

Northern Ireland will come to the Cardiff City Stadium on Thursday, March 24 (kick-off 7.45pm).

For the second match, Wales will travel to Ukraine on Monday, March 28, at the NSK Olympiyskiy Stadium in Kiev.

National manager Coleman said: “We are delighted to be playing the two fixtures and they will be ideal preparation for our group games at Euro 2016.

“Michael O’Neill has done a fantastic job as manager of Northern Ireland and I am delighted for him. This will be a great occasion for both sets of fans ahead of the Finals.

“Meanwhile, the Ukraine are quality opposition and will be a real test for myself, the coaching team and the squad of players.”

Northern Ireland and Ukraine, who have also qualified for the finals in France, were both drawn into Group C alongside Germany and Poland.
