NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, have, under its relevant powers, made the following Order: C1261 From Bogmarsh Lane To Upper Bowl Cottage, Aconbury, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the C1261 From Bogmarsh Lane To Upper Bowl Cottage, Aconbury, outside Nether Wood Car Park. Grid Ref: 351879/233609. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Barrack Hill onto Little Birch Road onto The Thorn onto C1263 onto A49 onto B4399 onto Hoarwithy Road and vice versa. The said closure is required due to ground investigation works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said order will come into force on 31 st of January 2022 but works are set to commence on 21st of February 2022 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 4 days.
