BB Old Gore Crossroad Speed Restriction (22-405), Herefordshire, Temporary Speed Restriction Order, to temporarily restrict the speed of vehicles to 40 MPH

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as the highway authority, have, under its relevant powers, made the following Order: BB Old Gore Crossroad Speed Restriction (22-405), Herefordshire, Temporary Speed Restriction Order, to temporarily restrict the speed of vehicles to 40 MPH on the below roads;
1) A449 from B4225 to Hillington, Upton Bishop, approximately 200 metres east of the junction with the B4224 to approximately 1000 metres west of the junction with the B4224.

2) B4224 from B4225 to Forging Lane, Upton Bishop, approximately 500 metres north of the junction with the A449 to approximately 250 metres south of the junction with the A449.

The said restriction is required due to slowing of traffic whilst realignment works to the A449/B4224 crossroads are undertaken and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said restriction will come into force on 7th March 2022 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 6 weeks.
