NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Wigan Borough Council, In exercise of Its powers under Sections 32,35 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004, has made the above Order which will come Into operation on 16th January 2017. The effect of the Order will be to:
that Wigan Borough Council, In exercise of Its powers under Sections 32,35 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004, has made the above Order which will come Into operation on 16th January 2017. The effect of the Order will be to:
Introduce a parking limited to 2 hours, return prohibited to 4 hours on Derby Street Car Park. This will provide convenient short stay parking In the Town Centre. A copy of the Order and of the relevant map may be Inspected at the Town Hall, Library Street, Wigan, between 9am and 4.30pm on any day from Monday to Friday
Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained therein on the ground -
(a) that it is not within the powers of Sections 32,35 or Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984; or the Traffic Management Act 2004 or
(b) that any requirement of the said Sections 32,35 or of Part III of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or of any regulations made under the said Part III of Schedule 9 or of any requirement of the 2004 Act, has not been complied with, may within six weeks of 5th December 2016 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
Notice of Confirmation of Public Path Order Town & Country Planning Act 1990 Section 257 and Paragraph 7 of Schedule 14 Wigan Borough Council (Footpath Tyldesley No. 51) Public Path Stopping Up Order 2016
On the 26th October 2016 Wigan Borough Council confirmed the above order. The effect of the order as confirmed is to stop-up public footpath Tyldesley No. 51 from its junction with public bridleway Tyldesley No. 20 and No. 50 on Engine Lane at point A on the Order Plan. The public footpath heads in a northerly direction for approximately 300 metres to point B on the said plan. From here it continues north across the borough boundary in Bolton as a restricted byway. An alternative route will commence at point A on the order plan at Engine Lane heading after a few metres east for a distance of approximately 75 metres before heading north to point C on the said plan for a total distance of approximately 350 metres.
A copy of the confirmed order and the order map may be seen at the Town Hall, Library Street, Wigan between 9 am and 4.30 pm on any day from Monday to Friday. Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price of E1.00. The order comes into force on the date on which Wigan Borough Council certify that the terms of Article 2 of the order have been complied with but if any person aggrieved by the order desires to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the order, he or she may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 within 6 weeks from the date on which notice is first published as required by Paragraph 7 of Schedule 14 to that Act.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Wigan Borough Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004, has made the Wigan Borough (Decriminalisation of Parking) (Various Roads in Wigan Borough) (Traffic Regulation Consolidation) Order 2004 (Amendment No.386) Order 2016 which will come into operation on 30th December 2016.
that Wigan Borough Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004, has made the Wigan Borough (Decriminalisation of Parking) (Various Roads in Wigan Borough) (Traffic Regulation Consolidation) Order 2004 (Amendment No.386) Order 2016 which will come into operation on 30th December 2016.
The effect of the Order will be to introduce no waiting at any time on:-
