Notice ID: MF0282400

Notice effective from
28th June 2018 to 28th July 2018

GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF FOOTPATH OHS/1 HAM & STONE PARISH STROUD DISTRICT GLOUCESTERSHIRE
NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council
intends to make an Order to close temporarily under
Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984 (as amended) part of Public Footpath OHS/1 in the
Parish of Ham & Stone in the Stroud District from north east
of Severn House Farm extending in a generally west-southwesterly
direction for approximately 85 metres north-west of
Severn House Farm.
The closure is necessary in the interest of public safety to
allow for ground investigation works to take place in respect
of the construction of a coastal revetment.
The Order will come into force on the 5th July 2018 and it
is anticipated that the public right of way will close on that
day until 16th July 2018. However should it be necessary
to continue the closure for longer than this period the Order
can authorise the closure for up to six months. After this
date if the closure is still required it will be necessary to
apply to the Secretary of State for an extension of time.
The alternative route runs from the north east of Severn
House Farm and follows a farm track in a generally southwesterly
direction for an approximate distance of 50 metres
then extends in a generally north-westerly direction for
approximately 45 metres along the existing and unaffected
part of OHS/1 north west from Severn House Farm.
Emergency and pedestrian access to adjoining premises is
to be maintained.
