Life on the Refrigerator Door by Alice Kuipers PanMacmillan £6.99).

THIS book lives up to its title perfectly. In our modern world we rush around in the morning, rush to work, rush home and often, after a quick bite to eat, we rush out again.

Are you guilty of leaving a note to your loved ones on the fridge door?

This mum certainly is and her and her daughter Claire lead such busy lives they hardly ever see each other. Before they realise this, it is too late.

Written in note form throughout, this book tells the story of Claire and her mum and although the book only takes about 30 minutes to read from cover to cover the content should teach you some lessons and stay with you for a long time afterwards.

I'm not a great fan of conventional 'chick lit' or soppy stuff but it brought a tear to my eye!
