A CAR was engulfed in flames outside Tesco in Pontypool on Saturday.
The car caught fire at about 6.15pm after a problem with its engine, and the flames quickly spread to engulf the entire vehicle, with billowing black smoke.
Firefighters were called to the scene and quickly put out the flames using two jets and one breathing apparatus.
No one was hurt, but the car itself was completely destroyed.
