AS RAIN and strong winds have battered the region, a yellow weather warning has been issued.
The Met Office weather warning is in place between 4am and 10pm today for persistent and heavy rain.
People can expect spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer, bus and train services to be affected with journey times taking longer, some interruption to power supplies and other services and possibly some flooding.
The Met Office have also issued a warning for very strong winds on Thursday evening and overnight into Friday morning.
First sign of autumnal driving conditions today. Take care on the roads. Reduce your speed and extend the distance to the vehicle in front. #bettertobefiveminuteslate
