THERE is plenty for children to do this half term, thanks to local museums.

Chepstow Museum is hosting its popular drop-in craft afternoon on November 1, between 2pm and 4pm.

This fun family event will be at the Drill Hall, on Lower Church Street, with a suitably seasonal theme to get your creative juices flowing.

The venue will provide the templates, ideas and materials, so it's down to you and your little ones to bring the creativity, making your own original masterpiece.

Featuring big tables, the craft session is perfect for families and groups of friends, looking for some entertainment and bonding.

This is suitable for children of all ages, but they must be supervised by an adult, with a maximum of three children per adult.

You can spend the whole afternoon there, or pop in for a while.

Although there is no set charge, donations towards the cost of materials and refreshments are always welcome, with organisers suggesting £2 for children over the age of three.

This event coincides with Wales Museums Festival week, which runs alongside this Half Term.

People are being welcomed to visit Chepstow, Monmouth, and Abergavenny Museum as part of the celebrations.

At these exciting venues there's always something to do, things to create, costumes to try on, quizzes to take part in.
