THE Cwmbran branch of HMV has not been included in a list of 27 of the firm's stores planned for closure nationwide.
The music and entertainment company was sold to Canadian firm Sunrise Records earlier this week.
HMV, which operates 128 stores across the UK, went into administration in December.
And today (Wednesday), its administrators KPMG announced which branches would survive.
There are four HMV stores in Wales.
As well as the Cwmbran branch, there are shops in Cardiff, Swansea, and Llandudno.
None of the firm's Welsh stores have been included on the list of planned closures.
