THERE may be several road closures in place on the A466 through Tintern over the Easter weekend, due to high tides.
The road may be closed on the following days and (approximate) times:
• Friday April 19 between 8.55pm and 9.25pm
• Saturday April 20 between 9.15am and 9.45am
• Saturday April 20 between 9.35pm and 10.05pm
• Sunday April 21 between 9.55am and 10.25am
• Sunday April 21 between 10.30pm and 11pm
The closure points will be situated between Trelleck Road junction in the north, and Royal George junction in the south.
Closure times are estimated based on the forecasted tide times.
Natural Resources Wales will be monitoring the situation and issuing flood warnings as necessary.
Road closures will only be temporary and only when tidal water actually overflows onto the highway.
The road will reopen as soon as the water has receded from the highway.
